Arab Bank chairman released after brief detention in Saudi

Arab Bank Chairman Sabih Al Masri was reportedly detained in Saudi Arabia for a brief period and has now been released.

Previous reports said that Masri was detained for questioning in Saudi Arabia after a business trip to Riyadh.

Masri, a Saudi citizen of Palestinian origin, is the founder of Saudi Astra Group, which has interests in several industries, including construction, telecommunications, construction and mining.

The business man was heading to the airport when he was arrested by Saudi authorities.

According to a Reuter’s report, the businessmen has been warned earlier not to travel to the Saudi capital after mass arrests of some of the country’s richest and most influential people, including members of the royal family.
