A new, purportedly 'grown-up' event is heading to Dubai, a two-day concert fixture called Blended - featuring legendary UK singer-songwriter Elvis Costello, Australian musician Xavier Rudd and soul songstress Joss Stone.

Commencing on May 1st in Dubai Media City, the conciously mature gig will focus on an eclectic mix of blues, jazz, soul and folk. They'll even be the allure of 'up-scale' food and drink options for the more discerning concert-goer.

"We know that a large number of people across the region crave culture and quality live music," stated Thomas Oveson of Done Events - the organisation responsible for bringing 'Blended' to Dubai's doorstep.

"Blended has been developed to meet this gap in the market, and launches a completely new live music concept in the Middle East."

UK singer Joss Stone will headline the opening night with Xavier Rudd, with Elvis Costello and acclaimed Canadian singer/pianist Diana Krall following in their wake.
