Sharjah gets its first English radio station

Sharjah launched its first English language radio station Pulse 95 Radio on Monday with a star-studded event at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council (SMC). Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi was among the first voice to be heard on Pulse 95 radio, when he started proceedings by taking On Air questions.

The channel will hit the airwaves on 95.0 FM and can also be accessed by listeners from the Sharjah Media Corporation’s (SMC) web and mobile application. With the broadcast going out across the Emirates, English radio fans across the UAE can look forward to a new FM radio station for their listening entertainment.

The Pulse 95 Radio station revealed its brand name, theme and a diverse team of radio hosts and presenters at the event. The team includes Emirati, Arab, and international presenters: Ana Schofield, Amna Roberts, Sally Mousa, Sara Al Madani, Omar Al Busaidy, Hassan Dennaoui (Big Hass) and Iman Al Majali.

Among the shows announced at the launch, Pulse 95 will have a vibrant team of local and international presenters bringing world-class content through its flagship shows “The Morning Majlis,” “Musafir in the City” and “Yalla Home,” in addition there will be a blend of acoustic music covering the latest trendy hits for the listeners of the UAE.

The Pulse 95 Radio hits the UAE airwaves with a energetic mix of talk, lifestyle, news and music. The radio channel will begin broadcasting under a theme and bill itself as “the Heart of Sharjah”, and will focus on carrying news of the latest business and commercial developments happening in the Emirate. Pulse 95 Radio will be projecting itself as a fun, positive, feel-good station, which brings local and international personalities, stories, and city-focused features that showcase Sharjah’s rich cultural heritage.
