Keshet International signs deal with Shemaroo subsidiary to distribute in-flight content to MidEast airlines

Global content producer and distributor Keshet International Studio has partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment’s subsidiary Contentino Media for content distribution. Keshet is known for producing content in genres including drama, comedy and entertainment. It will now give exclusive distribution rights to Contentino to sell their shows to airlines across Middle-East and Asia.

Contentino Media already provides movies in more than nine Indian languages and now with the tie-up with Keshet brokered by Keshet India, it will be providing airlines with global content too. Keshet content library includes top rated shows from across the world.

The deal will see Keshet International’s shows, such as NBC’s military drama The Brave; BBC One’s family drama The A Word and international drama Prisoners of War, offered to airline passengers in the Middle East for the first time.

Contentino connects with more than 50 airlines with KI's catalougue of finished tape content. Some of the major airlines that the company provides content to are Jet Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways. At present, the content library of Contentino has over 4000 movies across languages.

Commenting on the partnership, Kranti Gada, Chief Operating Officer - Shemaroo Entertainment Limited, said, “With this partnership with Keshet, we are excited to broaden our content offering and add premium international content. In 2015, we acquired Contentino Media which helped us enter the inflight entertainment distribution space and in just a short span of time we have become one of the leaders.”
