The following video includes highlights from the Construction Week Awards 2017 judges’ meeting, which took place in Dubai on 20 November, 2017.

The 2017 panel met to preside over this year’s finalists, and to discuss their most anticipated award categories.

During the course of the meeting, the judges argued the case for their favourite nominations from this year’s 97-strong shortlist.

In total, the Construction Week Awards 2017 will feature 14 award categories, which have been designed to recognise and reward corporate prowess, project success, individual excellence, and the sector’s most forward-thinking business initiatives.

The 2017 panel spans the entire spectrum of market segments, and comprises eight of the Middle East construction community’s foremost experts.

This year’s judges include Cynthia Corby, Middle East construction industry leader and Middle East audit director of operations at Deloitte Middle East; Daniel Xu, partner at King & Wood Mallesons’ (KWM) dispute resolution practice; Gary Williams, director of AESG Commissioning; Jennifer Bradfield, member of the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) and project manager at Mace International; Mark Graham, managing director of Mace Macro; Rajesh Kumar Krishna, chairman and chief executive officer of Beaver Gulf Group; Rob Jackson, regional director of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and Sachin Kerur, partner and head of the Middle East region for Pinsent Masons.

Full details of this year’s winning nominations and highly commended entries will be revealed during an awards ceremony and gala dinner at Rixos Premium Dubai on Wednesday, 6 December, 2017.
