Hyder ElKhereiji has won a contract for the design and engineering of Al Andulus School, a new 3500 pupil education facility in Jeddah, KSA.

Hyder ElKhereiji, a partnership formed in February between SAK Consultants and Hyder Consulting, expects the construction of the project to cost in the range of $69.3 million (SAR 260 million). the school will cover an area of 80,000m2.

"We've been working with these people for the last 30 years, which shows our clients come back to us," said Sheikh Solaiman El-Khereiji, chairman of SAK Consultants.

"They want to make something up to date; make a school for the next generation. The client gave us two months just to look at what was available, before we redefine the scope of work."

The partnership has also signed a new housing project contract with Ewan, plus another school project in Taif.

Hyder ElKhereiji secured the Engineering Management Consultancy Services Contract with Jeddah Municipality earlier this year. The three-year contract will see the company work directly as part of the municipality on roading and infrastructure design, plus peer reviews.
