Khayyat Contracting and Trading (KCT) has said it is to commence on a far-reaching recruitment drive.
In a statement, the Qatari company said it would look to recruit the ‘very best’ in the construction sector, with jobs ranging from managerial positions to labourers.
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to support Qatar’s national development through a variety of projects and we are excited to be expanding our operations in the second half of this year,” executive officer Moutaz Khayyat commented.
KCT said that Qatar’s economic growth and its current infrastructure projects – supporting the World Cup 2022 and the 2030 Vision – are reasons for company’s efforts to increase its staff.
The company has said that it will look to recruit the very best candidates, with potential recruits expected to have qualifications in the areas they wish to work within.
“An important feature about working in Qatar is you must prove your specific qualifications for the job in question,” said KCT’s human resources director, Ryno Greef.
“As an example, a project engineer will not get a project engineer visa unless he has the relevant degree in engineering.”
