Arabian MEP Contracting wins Tawar Mall deal

Arabian MEP Contracting has won a contract for the MEP works on the Tawar Mall project in Doha’s Duhail area.

The contract was awarded directly by the client for an undisclosed sum.

With a total built up area of 241,500m², Tawar Mall will be comprised of three basement floors, a ground floor and three aboveground floors.

Arabian MEP Contracting’s scope of work involves providing MEP building services which includes a 6,250 TR (tonnes of refrigeration) capacity HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) water-cooled centrifugal chiller system, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical and ELV (extra-low voltage) systems including car parking management system.

Commenting on the award, Vasanth Kumar, CEO of Arabian MEP Contracting, said: “We are delighted to win this prestigious Tawar Mall contract which adds to our large portfolio of mall projects. These have included several fit-out projects which we have successfully carried out during the past sixteen years, starting with City Centre Mall, Landmark Mall, Hyatt Plaza and the recently completed Barwa Commercial Avenue (BT2)”.

Tawar Mall will include a large entertainment area and hypermarket in the basement levels, hundreds of retail shops in the ground and first floor levels, while the upper floors will offer a twelve-screen Cineplex, large food court and an 80 room hotel.

The development, located adjacent to the popular landmark mall in Duhail area, is already under construction.
