Dubai's Mada Residences project is 80% complete.
Being developed by ARTAR Real Estate Development, Mada Residences is a 36-storey luxury residential tower in Downtown Dubai, due for completion in 2018.
As of October 2018, structural works for Mada Residences were fully complete, while block works were 98% complete.
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP); plaster; and façade, aluminium, and glazing activities were respectively 90%, 98%, and 80% complete.
Water-proofing works up to Level 35 of the project, as well as its swimming pool and deck, are 95% complete, in addition to finishing works – comprising tiles, paint, and false ceilings – which are 85% complete.
The installation of fire-resistant façade stone is 45% complete, whilst work on lifts is 25% complete.
Comprising 193 one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom luxury apartments, the project is on-track to be handed over in Q2 2018, its developer said in a statement.
ARTAR Real Estate Development also said that Mada Residences is "the first residential tower in Dubai built using specially developed cladding that can resist temperatures of up to 1200ºC".
Its statement added: "ARTAR’s decision to invest in the cladding, made in Spain from extruded porcelain, was taken months before Dubai authorities recently took action to counter the threat of fires in high-rise buildings.
"The installation of the new cladding at Mada Residences [is] currently 80% complete, [and] will also reduce air-conditioning consumption during the summer months, with energy savings of up to 30%."
