Infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi's Al Maqta area complete

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), in cooperation with Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), revealed that it had completed the internal roads and infrastructure project for residential plots at Al Maqta, located at the northern end of at the eastern part of Abu Dhabi Island along the Arabian Gulf Street.

The project worth AED112mn and spans an area of over 243,000 sq m.

According to a press statement, the project included the construction of main and subsidiary roads, rainwater drainage, sewage networks, drinking water, telecommunication lines, and high-voltage power cables.

It also included the construction of six power distribution substations and street lighting networks serving 79 new residential units.

“Al Maqta area is witnessing continuous development in infrastructure works and projects aimed at rehabilitating this area to accommodate additional residents and empower it to keep pace with the sustainable development in Abu Dhabi and suburban areas,” the statement said.
