Health and safety is the focus of the latest Construction Week Viewpoint podcast.

Major accidents and fatalities have "drastically decreased" on construction sites in Dubai, the director of health, safety, and environment (HSE) at the Dubai Creative Clusters Authority (DCCA), Ahmad Al Sumaiti, recently told Construction Week.

And from the Expo 2020 Dubai site to typical brick and mortar projects, construction stakeholders in the emirate are collaborating on health and safety.

Despite the collaboration and the broad range of measures implemented around health and safety, contractors say it remains an issue for many firms.

One of the big challenges today is ensuring all subcontractors onsite adhere to the same health and safety protocol as the main construction contractor. This, and more, will be discussed in the latest podcast episode.
