The second semester of the University of Wollongong in Dubai’s (UOWD) Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme will commence on Thursday.
According to a press release, the EMBA programme provides a distinctive learning experience, which includes an international study tour.
The first semester covered a module on ‘Leadership in a Contemporary Business Environment’. It focuses on leadership and strategic alignment challenges that contemporary organisations face during different stages of growth.
As part of the module, Isil Sahin Oztelcan from Dow Chemicals gave a talk on challenges leaders face while climbing the corporate ladder and Venkatesh Mahadevan from TechSource provided a lecture on ‘Leading during Non-Linear times - Digital Transformation and beyond’.
Dr Mohan Guruswamy, EMBA programme director, said, “The course will enhance and reinforce the leadership skill-set of participants and improve their leadership opportunities while preparing them to take on challenging decision-making roles in the top echelons of the government and private sectors”
The university has been welcoming applications for the course from individuals who have a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least five years’ experience in a senior management position.
