In a bid to promote environmental sustainability. Six Senses Zighy Bay in Musandam has purchased its own fleet of seven Nissan Pathfinder SV 4WD Hybrid vehicles, which will transport guests to the resort and take them on tour of the surrounding region.

Aaron McGrath, general manager, Six Senses Zighy Bay, said, “Until now, we’ve been using vehicles from a partner we had no real control of their environmental credentials. We reviewed the vehicles available in our market and concluded that the Pathfinder SV 4WD Hybrid would be best suited to Six Senses Zighy Bay.

“We took into consideration all the various uses we would have for them and what we would need in terms of off-road and on-road capabilities, comfort requirements, and of course their ability to help us reduce our carbon footprint. With its 2.5l supercharged four-cylinder petrol engine, combined with an electric motor, its fuel efficiency is rated as 24 percent better than a conventional mid-sized SUV, so we feel we’re on the right path with our choice.”

According to a press release, the hybrid vehicles will also be used to take visitors to Sense on the Edge, the resort’s fine dining experience on the mountaintop high above Zighy Bay.

The cars will also be used for excursions to Dibba town and the resort’s own farm and to the marina to enjoy a cruise from the Dhahab yacht, as well as for off-road trips to the Sabatyn plateau to experience the beauty of the Hajar Mountains.
