Events at Sharjah Expo Centre benefit emirates' economy, say officials

Expo Centre Sharjah organized a special ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the achievements of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Exhibition and the Ramadan Nights Exhibition, which collectively attracted more than 170,000 visitors.

According to a press release, the two events contributed to boosting trade in consumer and luxury goods.

The ceremony was attended by H E Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chairman of Expo Centre Sharjah and H E Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah.

The event honoured the partners and sponsors of both events. The event also saw a prize distribution ceremony for the winning shoppers of the Watch and Jewellery Show’s 43rd edition.

H E Owais said that exhibitions organized at Expo Centre Sharjah greatly contribute to benefitting the emirate’s economy.

H E Midfa thanked all partners, sponsors and employees for their efforts in attaining successes and achievements that have exceeded expectations. He said that the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue to support future exhibitions organized at the centre.
