Samsung suffered a serious backlash last year after its Galaxy Note7 was pulled from the market, citing safety concerns.

The South Korean giant is now bringing the smartphone back but as a refurbished device called Galaxy Note FE, which stands for Fandom Edition. However the resurfaced device will only be available in South Korea.

In March this year, Samsung revealed it could potentially bring the device back and the process would be carried out in three stages: devices will be considered to be used as refurbished phones or rental phones, salvageable components shall be detached for reuse, and processes such as metal extraction will be performed using environmentally friendly methods.

Most importantly, Samsung has reduced the size of the battery from 3,500mAh down to 3,200mAh as the South Korean giant said battery defects contributed to the failure of the Galaxy Note7.
