Joramco, an Amman-based MRO, has been awarded a four-year base maintenance agreement with Air Belgium for C checks on its A340 fleet.

The first check was reportedly completed in March 2019 and will be soon followed with checks planned to start between April and September of this year.

Sharing his thoughts on the new deal, Jeff Wilkinson, Joramco’s CEO, said: “We are extremely happy with the new collaboration between Joramco and Air Belgium which emphasizes on Joramco’s position in the European market and the strength of Joramco‘s capability in maintaining the Airbus A340 through delivering high-quality solutions at competitive prices and on-time delivery.”

As the engineering arm of the Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), Joramco’s portfolio includes customers from across the Middle East, Europe, South Asia and Africa regions, as well as customers in Russia and the CIS countries. The capabilities cover maintenance checks for a variety of aircraft types under Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer fleets.

Commenting on the collaboration, Niky Terzakis, CEO of Air Belgium said: “Being an airline in its early start days, Air Belgium has to rely on professional and dependable organization.
