The Arab Aviation Summit, which was due to take place in the UAE this month, has been postponed until September.
Organisers fear that the Covid-19 outbreak could impact the number of delegates and speakers able to attend the event.
Travel restrictions in the region and the advice of governments not to travel have seen events across industries postponed and cancelled in recent weeks.
In a statement, the organisers of Arab Aviation Summit said the event has been postponed because of “directives of UAE authorities” and “overall market sentiment”.
“This decision is also to ensure that we host an optimal event attendant by all key stakeholders providing business and networking opportunities for our partners and attendees,” the statement said.
The event is due to take place in Ras Al Khaimah in September, although organisers did not say on which date it will take place.
