DS: What products will Sennheiser showcase at CABSAT this year?\
At CABSAT, we will launch the Sennheiser SK 6212, a mini-bodypack transmitter for our Digital 6000 wireless microphone system. This compact transmitter will be an ideal choice for any broadcast, theatre, musical or live audio show that requires an inconspicuous, ultra-compact and lightweight package with the same reliable and spectrum-efficient transmission as that offered by the other Digital 6000 transmitters.
With comfortably rounded corners and edges, the mini-bodypack is about 63 x 47 x 20 millimetres in size and together with the battery weights just 112g. As with all Digital 6000 transmitters, the SK 6212 can be synced via IR, saving time and effort – especially in live environments. The flexible antenna is detachable and field replaceable, and its removable BA 62 lithium-polymer battery offers a spectacular operating time of up to 12 hours.
DS: Do you have any specific trainings, marketing activities, promotions or activations planned for the show?
We will also conduct the regional launch of the new XSW-D Audio for Video entry-level range of portable wireless microphones, the new HD/HMD300 Series headphones and headsets, as well as another regional first with the IE400 PRO and IE500 PRO IEMs, which along with the IE40 PRO which was launched last year completes our good-better-best offering for professional in-ear monitoring headphones. And last but not least, we will also use CABSAT as an opportunity to launch the NDH20, Neumann’s first-ever professional headphones.
In additional, we are planning a training program around CABSAT for our broadcast customers, focusing on the new products launched over the past year.
DS: Why are trade shows like CABSAT important for Sennheiser?
With over 450 exhibitors and an expected attendance of over 13,000, CABSAT remains the region's premier trade show for the broadcast sector. It covers the entire spectrum of the industry from content creation through to production and distribution. This therefore makes it possible for us to engage with a broad range of industry stakeholders and raise awareness of our brand and the new solutions we have introduced in the region over the course of the last year. By participating together with our long-term partner Venuetech we are also demonstrating our commitment to our channel partners who are the pillars of our go-to-market in the region.
In addition to presenting opportunities to grow our business with customers and partners, CABSAT also enables us to keep our ear to the ground and gain invaluable insight into what our customers want and the trends that are shaping our industry.
