Simplestream has appointed Fabio Gallo as sales director for EMEA region. His main responsibility will be to initially drive Simplestream's OTT products business for sports-rights owners and holders looking to launch next-generation multiscreen TV services.
Based out of the company’s London office, Gallo will work to implement Simplestream’s sales strategy to drive business, managing a team across Europe and leveraging channel and sports-rights-holder relationships to accelerate growth. He will also work closely with the company’s product department team to optimise its solutions and marketing to target sports federations and content owners.
Simplestream's VOD-in-a-Box service was shortlisted for two IABM BaM Awards in the ‘Publish’ and ‘Monetise’ categories at this year's NAB Show.

Gallo has more than 16 years in business development leadership positions, focused mainly on sales, e-commerce, digital monetisation solutions, SaaS, OTT and mobile. Gallo came from Deltatre Group, where he served as the business development director, driving strategic partnerships with major B2B sports organisations. He has also previously been responsible for fostering digital strategies and driving global video content distributions for Dorna Sports and FC Barcelona.
