Iflix is building up its presence in the Middle East and Africa region with a new telco partnership regional office in Egypt. iflix announced it is partnering with Vodafone in Egypt and setting up a new regional hub in Cairo.
Recognised globally as a cultural hub, Egyptian creatives play a significant role in influencing Arab speaking people around the world. The partnership with Vodafone will offer subscribers access to the iflix service for just EGP 1 ($0.06) a day.
Home to 90 million people, Egypt is the most populous country in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). To capitalise on this opportunity, iflix has established new regional headquarters in Cairo, where it will consolidate regional marketing, content and business development teams. iflix said this was done with the aim of strengthening the Company’s position in its top priority MENA markets – Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.

We are thrilled to set up our new regional head office here and partner with Vodafone Egypt, the country’s leading telecommunication service providers to make our service available to tens of millions of customers across the country.”
Recently, iflix said they will introduce a free ad-supported service tier in addition to the existing subscription-based online video service, as well as launching live linear free-to-air and pay-TV channel viewing options.
