Emirates International Telecommunications (EIT), a subsidiary of Dubai Holdings, is selling its 35% stake in state-owned Tunisie Telecom, Reuters reported, citing a statement from the Tunisian government.

EIT, which invests in telecoms assets, bought the stake in Tunisie Telecom in 2006 for $2.25 billion.

EIT has complained to the Tunisian government about strike action and workers' demands for higher pay that have beset the company since former president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali was toppled in 2011, the report added.
