Could 5G make it harder to predict dangerous storms?

US meteorologists have written to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about their concerns that 5G signals could interfere with weather satellites - potentially making it harder to predict storms and other dangerous weather.

The letter reportedly calls the situation "deeply concerning."

They are also asking for an auction of radio "spectrum" (the signal radio frequencies used) for 5G to be delayed until the potential risks can be studied more and a potential solution found.
