Video Assistant Referee, better known as VAR, is continuing to play a big role at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup football tournament.

On Monday, a VAR review helped hosts France defeat Nigeria in Group A pool play.

It follows a VAR review helping France eke out a 2-1 win against Norway last week.

This is the first FIFA Women's World Cup to use the technology.
