Botswana's BTC and Comviva join up for mobile money

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTC) has revamped and introduceda new mobile money service with the help of India's Comviva.

Known as SMEGA, the service works on Comviva’s mobiquity money platform. It offers consumers a quick, convenient and secure way to perform financial transactions from home or on the go.

Mobiquity Money has more than 60 deployments in 45 countries. It provides financial services to more than 100 million consumers globally, and processes more than 6.5 billion transactions amounting to more than US$130 billion annually.
