This year’s MEP Contractor of the Year award went to Voltas Limited.
The company also won the Plumbing Project of the Year for its work on Regent Emirates Pearl Hotel-Grand Hyatt in Abu Dhabi.
Additionally, Arcadis emerged as a big winner at the MEP Middle East Awards held in Dubai.
The MEP consultancy collected three awards including: MEP Consultancy of the Year, Plumbing Engineer of the Year (Roger Vincer) and Mechanical Engineer of the Year (Ian Eldridge).
MEP Middle East Awards was held on 8 November at Rixos Premium JBR, Dubai.
A total of 17 winning awards were handed out on the night, with two winners for Project Manager of the Year category; Aoidin Curran from WME Consultants and Roy Wicks from Alemco.
In addition, for categories where the judges felt it was a very close call, there was 15 highly commended awards given to companies and individuals.
A record number of nominations were received this year, with winners and highly commended in each category chosen by our panel of six distinguished judges.
There were two lucky individuals who won the two biggest prizes of the night, courtesy of sponsor Gulf-O-Flex.
Tomi Anyanwu, regional engineering manager (Middle East, Africa & Turkey) at Equinix EMEA, won the one night stay at Burj Al Arab with a 500AED food voucher for Scape restaurant.
The other big prize was the Heli Dubai, a scenic helicopter tour of Dubai for two people, which was won by Maxim D’Souza, group general manager at Brayan Group.
Muzamil Shaikhani, managing director from Gulf-O-Flex, presented the awards.
Other prizes included brunches at restaurants, which were won by Syed Ibrahim Sahul Hameed from Future Metro and Amit Ahuja from AMCA International.
The MEP Middle East Awards 2018 will take place in Dubai on November 7.
