Kingston Holdings and Glen Dimplex sign Xpelair Middle East joint venture

Kingston Holdings, a UAE manufacturer of a range of branded and non-branded electrical products, has signed a joint venture deal with Irish-headquartered appliances maker Glen Dimplex to launch Xpelair Middle East.

Following the deal, Sharjah-based Kingston Holdings will be responsible for Xpelair's entire range of fans and ventilation products in the Middle East and Africa, as well as on the sub-continent (India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and the Maldives).

Glen Dimplex is a $2.7bn-turnover company which owns a range of household brands including Belling, Stives and Morphy Richards. Kingston Holdings has three manufacturing facilities and a large logistics operation on a 1m ft2site in the Saif Industrial zone.

Lalu Samuel, who is chairman of both Kingston Holdings and the new Xpelair Middle East and India venture, said: “Kingston Holdings is proud to be a part of this strategic association which will bring intelligent electric heating and renewable energy solutions to this part of the globe”.
