Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) is offering land to contractors in its Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad) in order to build a 15,000-bed staff accommodation complex.
ADPC says it is releasing the 217,975m2 plot near Taweelah for the purpose of developing and operating accommodation principally for the operational staff employed by companies established at Kizad.
The organisation will enter into a long-term Musataha Agreement with the winning bidder
Companies will have to demonstrate they have proven experience of developing and operating operational staff accommodation (OSA) of not less than 5,000 beds in the UAE.
There is currently no OSA within, or close to, Kizad. Both existing and future investors require accommodation for their operative staff close to their new Kizad facilities.
Through the tender ADPC says it is making available the land required to develop the first staff accommodation community of 15,000 beds.
ADPC will provide the necessary infrastructure related to road, potable water and electrical power to to the plot boundary with supplies provided by the relevant statutory authorities.
The successful bidder will be required to design and build the OSA istelf as a stand-alone project including any other infrastructure required.
