CW Awards 2017: Winning infrastructure project named

Nominated by Parsons, Dubai Water Canal was named Infrastructure Project of the Year at the Construction Week Awards 2017.

This year’s independent judges heaped praise on the project, with one panellist commenting: “You simply have to admire the project team for turning Dubai’s vision into a reality.”

Another judge commended the commercial benefits that have resulted from Dubai Water Canal, describing the premium real estate that has been created as “amazing”.

Nominated by ASGC, Etihad Museum was named this year’s Highly Commended Infrastructure Project.

Other shortlisted nominations included Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road, nominated by Aecom; University of Dubai, nominated by Kier Dubai; and Swiss International School of Dubai, nominated by U+A.

An independent panel of judges, comprising eight of the Middle East’s foremost construction experts, selected winners in 14 categories at the Construction Week Awards 2017.
