This year’s Bauma Conexpo India will be held from December 11 to 14 at Huda Ground in Gurgaon.

According to a press release, positive growth forecasts for the Indian construction machinery industry will turn the trade fair into a very important presentation platform for the industry.

Compared to the last fair in 2016, 800sq m of hall space have been added. Over 700 exhibitors from 25 countries will present their products. Visitors can expect to see the entire product range of construction equipment.

“The trade fair will be completely booked this year for the first time. Compared to 2016 we have grown over 30%. This is a tremendous achievement for Bauma Conexpo India,” said Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Bauma Conexpo India.

The press release said that many companies have expanded their booth space this year, including ACE, Case, Caterpillar, JCB, Kobelco, L&T, Liugong, PERI, Putzmeister, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Volvo, Wirtgen and Zoomlion.

Terex, DEUTZ Engines, Doka, Doosan Bobcat, Etrack Crushers, Hyundai and Manitou Equipment are some of the other companies taking part this year.

German company Kaeser Kompressoren SE and the Indian manufacturer Tata Hitachi will be taking part in the event for the first time

“The huge number of exhibitors is directly related to the strong growth being generated by the Indian construction machinery market and the positive outlook for India’s construction industry. These growth forecasts are being fuelled by capital expenditures being made by the Indian government in the expansion of the country’s infrastructure. India is to become the world’s third-largest market for the global construction industry by 2025. Analysts expect real annual growth to average 6.2% over the next nine years. The construction machinery market will also profit from the infrastructure expansion: Bulldozers, backhoes and excavators will generate huge gains in sales over the next five years,” the release stated.

“The construction machinery industry has tremendous opportunities ahead of it, and Bauma Conexpo India 2018 is the perfect place to see these trends up close,” Indian CEO Singh says.

A buyer-seller programme will be offered for the first time. Visitors can fill out a form in advance and identify which product group or companies appeal to them as potential business partners. The trade fair organiser will use this information and arrange brief meetings during the trade fair days. The buyer-seller meetings will be held in a separate area of the fair hall. The service is provided free of charge to both groups and is aimed at international exhibitors.

“Visitors to Bauma Conexpo India 2018 can also look forward to participating in a contest if they register in advance. This will not only eliminate waiting time at the fairgrounds, but also give them an opportunity to win a ticket to Bauma 2019 in Munich, including flight and accommodation. Visitors only have to enter the promotion code “fly2bauma-in” when they register online. The winner will be drawn on one of the trade fair days,” the release added.
