Construction activities have been kicked off for Phase 3 of District One in Dubai’s 418ha Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City (MBR City).
The mobilisation of machinery and equipment has begun on site, with piling work also under way for Phase 3.
Commenting on the project, Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, chairman and chief executive officer of Meydan Group, said: “Since the launch of this project, the design of these elite homes has successfully captured the interest of both buyers and investors, considering the community features world-class amenities and is in one of the lowest density villa and apartments in the heart of Dubai.
“We are confident [about] delivering the project up to the standards and as per schedule,” Al Tayer added, according to WAM.
The master-planned MBR City’s site is a hive of activity, with numerous real estate developments under way within the project.
This May, Sobha Realty launched Sobha Creek Vistas, a resort-style luxury housing project within Sobha Hartland.
Encompassing 743,224m2of freehold space within MBR City, the project comprises one- and two-bedroom apartments in twin towers of 28 floors each.
In November 2017, Ellington announced the launch of the second tower within its Wilton Terraces complex at MBR City.
The announcement came a day after it was revealed that Meydan Group and Union Co-op had signed a contract to develop a mall in MBR City’s District 11.
District 11 is a residential project consisting of two main areas, with the first containing 1,500 semi-separate four-room villas, and the second featuring 700 four-room housing units in the Meydan Villas area.
