Honeywell has appointed a new business leader for commercial security in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region.
In the role, Fahmi Jabri will reinforce Honeywell’s position as a key player in the small and medium business (SMB) segment, the high-end CCTV market, and the access control and commercial intrusion business.
He will grow Honeywell’s security business and drive greater customer focus, in addition to advancing its portfolio of commercial security hardware and software products for connected buildings in the region, leveraging advances in analytics, big data, cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Before taking on the new role, Jabri was strategy and marketing director of security and fire for the Middle East, Russia, Turkey and Africa. He has more than 17 years of experience in the building technologies industry. He joined Honeywell in April 2015.
Mick Goodfellow, general manager of Honeywell commercial security for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, said: “Fahmi will have an important part to play in helping our customers solve critical business issues by leveraging connected offerings in the security field, and in championing the extensive benefits of our technology in increasing insight and control across a facility.”
Meanwhile, Jabri added: “Honeywell has some of the most advanced solutions in the commercial security industry, comprising class-leading software platforms, access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
“We look forward to working with our partners and customers to add greater value to their operations, and to help them interpret and use the huge and growing volumes of data being generated by connected buildings and security systems.”
