Acrow Formwork Technology will attend Bauma 2019 in Munich, Germany, alongside construction companies such as Volvo CE and Bobcat, with the latter equipment companies expected to showcase their electrical offerings to support the global move away from fossil fuel-powered vehicles.
The formwork specialist will feature its portfolio at Stand 410 in Hall B3 and Plot #34B of Stand 1
stand number 410 in Hall B3, or at courtyard space 34B on stand number 1, when the week-long show kicks off on 8 April. Bauma 2019 will close on 14 April.
Volvo CE will unveil its new range of electric compact excavators (EC15 to EC27) and wheel loaders (L20 to L28) at the mega-event, amid plans to stop producing diesel engine-based development of these models.
As reported by Construction Week’s sister title PMV Middle East last month, Volvo CE’s presence will make it the first construction equipment manufacturer to commit to an electric future for its compact machine range. Visitors can find Volvo CE in Hall C6.
Also set to appear at Bauma 2019 is Bobcat, which plans to launch the new Bobcat E10e Electric Mini-Excavator, the industry’s first commercially available fully electric, zero tail machine of its kind in the 1t class, at the show.
Connectivity and the digital revolution in heavy machinery dominated the conversation at Bauma 2016.
Day 1 of the event saw Caterpillar’s former chief executive officer, Douglas Oberhelman, cite advances in digital technology, data collection, analysis, and machine control as key industry drivers for long-term efficiencies.
