Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has reportedly awarded two contracts worth approximately $96m (KWD29.2m) for the construction of two substation power plants in the Burgan field.
The first contract, worth $53.8m (KWD16.3m), was reportedly awarded to Kuwait-based engineering, procurement, and construction contractor Al-Ghanim International.
Worth $42m (KWD12.7m), the second contract was awarded to Heavy Engineering Industries Co.
The scope of work for each contract has not been disclosed, according to a report by Construction Week's sister Oil and Gas Middle East, citing Kuwaiti daily Al-Anba.
