1. What is Macro’s history?
Mace Macro was first established in the UK in 2002 in the pursuit of a better way. Our regional operation began in 2007, and the firm has since evolved in the real estate, workplace and facilities management (FM) space, operating not just in the FM consultancy market, but also offering managed services to Global CRE clients, working on regional integrated FM contracts, and in the UAE; delivering MEP operations & maintenance as well as owner’s association management. Over the years, Mace Macro has built a strong reputation for providing quality workplace and FM services, winning some key contracts along the way.

2. What differentiates Macro from its competitors in the market?
Mace Macro offers an innovative, management led solution, which delivers demonstrable value and quality to our clients worldwide. We engage with clients from the very beginning of the property lifecycle in the design stage all the way through to operations. Our business is committed to health and safety, innovation and service excellence, being a responsible business and supporting the communities in which we work.
Mace Macro is the operate arm of the Mace group, which is an international consultancy and construction company.

3. Where do you see the business in 5 years?
Our business will continue to be at the forefront of workplace and FM, involved in iconic projects. We are already global, operating from four hubs including the Middle East with a client base that includes leading global brands, assisting their international frameworks.
We have an excellent track record for repeat business and have created long-term relationships with our clients. We expect the next five years to be similar allowing us to continue to engage, develop and inspire our people, achieve stable and sustainable growth, innovate for service excellence and be a responsible business.

4. What are the key growth areas for Macro in the region?
Achieving stable and sustainable growth is a core objective for our business. We will achieve that by maintaining and growing our existing client relationships and being selective about the opportunities we choose to pursue. We see these selective opportunities across the Middle East which is why we are currently in seven countries regionally and growing.

5. How do you align with your clients objectives?
We adopt a selective approach to winning new business and working with new clients. In this way very early on, we are able to understand our clients better which helps us to create bespoke solutions to meet their needs.

6. What do the fm Awards mean to Macro?
The awards demonstrate that we are at the forefront of the industry and are constantly working towards lifting workplace and FM, be it through researching new innovations to manage assets effectively and efficiently, industry talks and conferences, or perspectives and thought leadership on our website and in industry publications. Over the last year, we have been and active voice for the FM industry with a number of our leadership and staff continuing to participate in a variety of events regionally.
