Construction has commenced on Expo 2020 Dubai’s nature-inspired Oman Pavilion, which will be located within the 4.38km2 site's Mobility District and has been inspired from the frankincense tree.

Oman unveiled the design of its national pavilion in November 2018, and the foundation stone was planned to be laid on 10 October 2019.

The sultanate’s state-held new agency, Ona, revealed on 9 October 2019 that the foundation stone for its pavilion would be laid in the presence of Oman's Minister of Commerce and Industry, HH Dr Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi.

The pavilion will be split into five zones, transporting visitors through an interactive, multimedia environment that tells the story of the nation's past, present, and future.

In May 2019, the ministry said it would launch a construction tender for the pavilion “in the near future”, adding that the package would include construction activities and equipping work.
