Commenting on the project Keenan Grote, managing director of 3SixtyConsult, said: “We realise that full-scale refurbishments on facilities for active businesses need to be completed within a tight timeline. The 3Sixty team is known for its agility and hands-on approach to ensure that the project’s programme meets the clients’ requirement- Daikin had a rapidly-approaching move-in date, so the team tailored a delivery approach to satisfy their timeline.”He added: “Over the past several months, 3Sixty has completed some large-scale projects for some well-known multinational businesses operating in the industrial sector. Daikin is the global leader in its field and the complex and technical scope of this project is exemplary of the types of assignments that 3Sixty is increasingly awarded.”
Commenting on the new facility, Tuna Gulenc, vice president-sales at Daikin MEA, said: “The opening of this brand-new facility ensures that we are closer to our customers, reaffirms our commitment for long-term business, and emphasizes to the market that we believe in both the growth potential of the MEA region and vision of the UAE. Through the provision of full fledge operations in the countries in which we operate and enhancement of our sales network, Daikin will continue to provide world-class innovative products and solutions to new and existing customers, and ultimately ensure that our vision for regional expansion comes to fruition. On the work carried out by the project management firm 3SixtyConsult, we are pleased and satisfied as well as with the contractor Amana, and the subcontractors who worked on this project.”The original structure was first built in 1999. Before moving in to its new JAFZA location, Daikin sought a complete refurbishment to the building. The project scope included the replacement of all cladding to the warehouse and to the office roof. A completely new MEP infrastructure and fire fighting system were installed throughout the facility bringing the structure up to modern day fire and safety codes. The headquarters now houses multiple departments under one roof, with total built-up area of 7,500 square metres consisting of offices, warehouse and factory facility in addition to a showroom and academy. Daikin designed, supplied and installed the new HVAC system for the facility, which demonstrates the capability of its products from VRV, Chiller & control systems.
The project was officially handed over in August 2019 with 3SixtyConsult conducting a full-scale project close-out with every party involved. Other notable industrial projects completed by 3SixtyConsult include Komatsu, GAC, and GE.
