Key goals achieved during Empower's summer campaign

Empower achieved the objectives of its annual summer campaign to reduce district cooling energy consumption, under the slogan ‘Switch to 24°C and save more’, the company has said in a statement.

The campaign formed part of Empower’s efforts to support sustainability and to deliver a “world-class service” of environmentally friendly district cooling, and encouraged customers to set the AC thermostats to 24 degrees Celsius.

Empower reports that more than 100,000 customers were inspired by the campaign to reduce their district cooling energy consumption, and to save on bills.

“Empower’s campaigns and initiatives that aim to reduce energy consumption and protect the environment, witness huge participation from customers,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

“This reflects customer awareness, and contributes to making them active partners in sustainable national development plans.

“The demand for district cooling services is expanding, especially with the booming of real estate projects in Dubai.

"This pushes us to work using technological innovations in the field of district cooling, to provide quality services that contribute to a safe environment for future generations.

“Empower has become a part of Dubai Government's energy efficiency management strategies, including the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030 to transform the emirate to a global hub for clean energy and the green economy and to strengthen its position as the city with the lowest carbon footprint in the world.”
