Last year, Aldar Properties announced a new brand identity and mandate for Khidmah to solely focus on delivering Facilities Management and Home maintenance. In parallel, the parent company also announced the establishment of a highly specialized Estate Management company named Provis.
CEO of Khidmah and Provis, HP Aengaar, told fmME exclusively: "Provis was tasked with disrupting the sector through innovation, expertise and unique customer experience. 2019 was a year during which we’ve realigned our thoughts and created a business and operating model that has our clients and their experience at the heart of everything we do."
"This overarching strategy created a more streamlined and efficient service for all our clients, particularly as we integrated more technology into our operations to enhance the customer experience. Our underlying aim and priority is to create impactful long-term asset value."Provis and Khidmah are 100% owned subsidiaries of Aldar Properties. Khidmah’s services include the full spectrum of facilities management solutions and cater to different sectors. Provis provides property management consultancy and management, owners’ association consultancy and management, sales & leasing and clubhouse and lifestyle management services.
Aengaar added: "We have won numerous contracts across the UAE within our areas of expertise and our business is growing rapidly, our expertise is stronger than ever, and we are poised for further growth. Provis currently manages over 13,500 units and serves over 15,000 units through Owners Association Management. As for 2019, Provis added over 1500 units to its Owners’ Association (OA) portfolio, representing a year-on-year increase of over 10%. The company also successfully hosted over 20 events last year through its clubhouse and lifestyle management services and were attended by approximately 11,000 people. On the other hand, Khidmah currently provides its services to 82 projects across the UAE and KSA and managed to grow its portfolio by 16% in 2019."
Khidmah has had several key moments in 2019 including the winning and renewal of 29 projects as well as the launch of the Khidmah Training Centre.
He said: "We have always had big ambitions for Khidmah, whether it’s about our market leading quality of services, the sectors we service or the geographies we enter. In fact, we were fortunate to win contracts with major companies in Saudi Arabia, which has further opened our expansion prospects.
"As for Provis, a few months ago, the company introduced a new portal that combines all services related to Provis managed communities for both owners and tenants. This was part of its mandate to continuously enhance customer experience across Provis communities and revolutionize the UAE estate management solutions market. This launch represented the first milestone in Provis’s digital transformation roadmap."Provis has also implemented a number of sustainability initiatives that have successfully reduced 6,692 tonnes of CO2 emissions and saved 15 million kWh of energy across 10 Provis-managed communities. We are proud of this achievement that is in line with the UAE Vision 2021, which aims to achieve a sustainable environment.
Khidmah and Provis also opened its new headquarters in Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.Talking about the future, Aengaar said: "Following our large success in the Abu Dhabi market, one of our top priorities now is reinforcing Khidmah’s growing presence in the UAE as well as Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hence, we are partnering with additional reputed companies which will in turn complement our expansion ambitions and growth journey across the region.
"We have been participating in a large number of tenders across the UAE - some we just won, others are in the pipeline, but we are optimistic that our unique proposition, competitive pricing and in-depth expertise will allow us to continue securing new projects and clients."
