DEWA shows its most prominent projects and innovative initiatives at the World Future Energy Summit 2020

Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) is showcasing its achievements in renewable, clean energy and sustainability at the 13th World Future Energy Summit.

“Our annual participation and sponsorship of the World Future Energy Summit enhance our efforts to exchange experiences and best practices with business leaders and senior officials to unify efforts to combat challenges facing the energy sector,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.

“It also supports our efforts to enhance the clean energy and renewable energy market, to make Dubai a global capital of green economy and sustainable development.”

The DEWA stand will feature the most prominent projects by Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and DEWA’s partners and subsidiaries including; Suqia UAE; Moro; Mai Dubai; Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (Dubai Carbon); Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower); Innogy International Middle East; and Etihad Energy Services Company (Etihad ESCO).

It will also show projects in the Innovation and the Future sector, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and the Green Hydrogen project, the first solar-driven hydrogen electrolysis facility in the Middle East and North Africa.

“The World Future Energy Summit is growing and becoming more prosperous,” said Al Tayer.

“This enhances the UAE’s leadership in renewable energy investments. All our efforts integrate to develop innovative solutions and projects that contribute to building a sustainable future, for generations to come.

“DEWA has close ties with Masdar, which leads the consortium working on the 800MW third phase of the Solar Park by 2020. We are keen on strengthening this collaboration to achieve the UAE Centennial 2071 to make the UAE the best country in the world and promote the UAE’s reputation and soft power.”
