AECOM promotes Raj Hanspaul to PMCM director for UAE, Oman

New York Stock Exchange-listed engineering firm AECOM has promoted Raj Hanspaul to director of Program Management and Construction Management (PMCM) in the UAE and Oman.

Based in the UAE, Hanspaul will lead more than 160 members of staff within AECOM’s PMCM practice who oversee activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling, and cost control, to design, construction, and commissioning.

Hanspaul has more than 16 years of experience in the construction industry, including 12 years of delivering programmes with AECOM.

Prior to his new role, he was the project director for community infrastructure programs in the UAE, including the Cranleigh School, The Galleria mall extension, and most recently Yas Acres, a project for which he will retain oversight.

Hanspaul has an in-depth understanding of the drivers and challenges that arise when delivering major developments including facilities for education, residential, healthcare, national governments, leisure, and public gathering venues.

Commenting on the promotion, the chief operating officer and director – PMCM and PMO – at AECOM Middle East, Jason Kroll, said: “Raj’s regional experience and knowledge of large program delivery will be a real asset for our PMCM business in the UAE and Oman.
