Building works have officially begun on a new Premier Inn hotel in the Barsha Heights area of Dubai.

The hotel, a partnership between Premier Inn and MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality, will be MBT’s first ever expansion into the hotel industry.

Due for completion during the last quarter of 2021, Premier Inn Barsha Heights will be the ninth UAE property for the UK-based brand, which prides itself on its budget-friendly British hospitality and the "good night guaranteed" promise.

The new hotel will contain 219 rooms, covering 14,450 square metres, and will feature a licensed bar, restaurant, pool, gym and branch of Costa Coffee.

Pioneering materials are being used on the building’s façade will help reduce the hotel’s energy consumption, as well as solar panels, a grey water system and LED lighting throughout the building.

As well as Premier Inn, MBT Hotel Management & Hospitality has also appointed Al Guhrair CEW as contractor for the project, JT & Partners as the architects and Al Mansoury InShield International Consultancy, led by Shady Ateem, as the project managers.

Hasan Hamadeh, director of operations at AGCEW, says: “We are confident that this turn-key project will be delivered on time and to the satisfaction of the client and operator. This is AGCEW’s third Premier Inn project in Dubai Hotels, our first hotel project while entering the hospitality sector in the UAE.

"You can’t go wrong when you choose the experienced and right partners to work with and that’s exactly what we have with Premier Inn. We are looking forward to a successful relationship in Premier Inn – Barsha Heights and thank everyone involved so far.”
