A Saudi Arabian Airlines flight was involved in a collision with a tow-truck at Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Arab News has reported.
The Boeing 777 aircraft was bound for Riyadh when it hit a maintenance vehicle shortly before take-off.
“All passengers on SV1036 flight are safe,” Khaled Al-Khaibari, a spokesman for the kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation, said. “All of them reached their destination safely.”
All passengers on board were removed from the plane and continued their journey on a different aircraft.
Earlier this month, a Saudi Arabian Airlines flight to Riyadh had to be diverted to Muscat after a fire false alarm, resulting in a delay of more than nine hours.
