The renowned Lebanese couturier is collaborating with Dubai-based Emaar Properties to design the interiors of an upcoming luxury residential development, called the Emaar Beachfront, which will offer generous views of the Arabian Sea, The Palm and Dubai Marina.
The development will feature one- to three-bedroom apartments, as well as an exclusive collection of four-bedroom penthouses. Inspired by the 1930s Art Deco era, the tower aims to make itself distinct through its focus on upscale lifestyle, which will include fashion boutiques, galleries, cafes, and lobbies designed by Saab. The fashion designer and his team will also be available for private consultation for those wanting to match their furniture with their wardrobes.
Taking cues from Miami's chic beachfront lifestyle, the property will also feature a private beach, landscaped pool deck on a high floor, as well as an infinity edge swimming pool.
Announcing the partnership, Mohamed Alabbar said: “Elie Saab is the pride of the Arab world, and a fascinating international success story. Through our first association with Saab, admired by the world’s leading celebrities, we are offering discerning customers a new lifestyle address. Every aspect of these glamorous residences is personally designed by Elie Saab, who brings his rare genius and aesthetics to create a new architectural and lifestyle expression.”
Saab, whose haute couture creations can be seen on A-list celebrities around the world said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Emaar and Mohamed Alabbar on this new project. Over the years, Elie Saab has evolved into a lifestyle brand, through the development of diversified product categories that deliver a unique experience of the brand’s universe. Through this new collaboration, brought by Emaar, leaders in real estate, we are confident that our aim at extending the brand experience into home and interiors will be a granted success.”
The new development will join the long list of other luxury properties in Dubai which also feature interiors by top fashion names including Giorgio Armani, Versace, Fendi, Ralph Lauren, and the late Karl Lagerfeld.
