Newly-formed Danube Hospitality Solutions (DHS) could “scale up” its five-strong interior design team subject to growth in the GCC's competitive hotel design market.
DHS was created by Dubai-based Danube Group in June to supply the country’s hotels with furniture, flooring, case goods, soft furnishings, and fixtures.
Following the launch of the business line, Danube Home director, Adel Sajan, said that the company may need to create new jobs if it can capitalise on growth driven by Expo 2020 Dubai.
“Hiring more designers will be subject to our growth,” he told Commercial Interior Design. “However, with Expo 2020 Dubai around the corner and more projects coming through, we will likely have to scale up all aspects accordingly, the design team included.”
DHS has already lined up work on 15 projects across the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, North Africa, and India – the first hotels Danube has worked with through its new hospitality solutions arm.
The first 12 months for the new firm revolve on establishing a name in the market.
“We are not looking to chase big projects or numbers at this stage, but truly provide exemplary service, establish consumer trust and start resonating as a world-class quality provider at an affordable price point, which is something I think a lot of businesses fail to prioritise,” Sajan added.
