Montenegro’s pavilion design at Expo 2020 Dubai draws its inspiration from nature, with a wool-woven path and an opportunity to experience its natural beauty through augmented reality.
The Balkan country has shared details of its pavilion design as part of its Statehood Day celebrations, which take place on 13 and 14 July every year.
Serbian sculptor Matija Vukovic has designed the pavilion, located in Expo 2020 Dubai’s Sustainability District – one of the three so-called Thematic Districts.
Montenegro is a country blessed with natural resources, rugged beauty, and rich heritage – a trio of elements the country wants to showcase with its nature-focused sustainable pavilion.
Augmented reality will provide visitors – up to 25 million of them – with a tour of the country’s seas, mountains, rivers, lakes and biodiversity.
Short stories about the country’s first printing press – a machine that revolutionised literary rates across Europe – are also being planned, according to Commercial Interior Design’s sister title, Construction Week.
