The first renderings of a brand new mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia, designed by Kristina Zanic Consultants, have been shared with Commercial Interior Design.

The Dubai-based interior design consultancy recently completed the design for the high-profile mosque in Saudi Arabia, and can now share exclusive images of what the stunning site will look like.Complete with separate male and female prayer rooms, the Medina mosque’s centrepiece design feature is a striking circular ceiling light.

The simple and functional mosque cuts a minimalist style, using light and space to create a place for peace and reflection.

It is the first-ever community mosque in Saudi Arabia that the consultancy has designed.

Kristina Zanic Consultants is primarily operational in hotel and food and beverage projects, but refurbishment commissions form a large chunk of the firm’s turnover too. Ventures in new areas, such as the design of religious buildings, marks a new area of expansion for the young design consultancy as it continues to bank more work across the region.
