Atkins has appointed Edward McIntosh as its regional director for the Middle East.
The British subsidiary of Canada's SNC-Lavalin, said McIntosh will bring a wealth of design and architecture experience to Atkins.
He boasts more than 16 years’ experience leading international architectural design teams and projects in South America, UK, China and South East Asia.
Career highlights include working at Populous in London for six years where he led the design of major sports projects.
He also led Grimshaw’s design team at South East Asia, focusing on retail, hospitality, workplace, and sports projects.
Commenting on McIntosh’s appointment, Atkins Middle East & Africa’s managing director for design and engineering, Adrian Lindon, said: “Bringing a wealth of experience in design and architecture, McIntosh will play a key role in supporting our business strategy focused on delivering high quality services to our clients across the region, as well as driving growth opportunities in key markets.”
