Hospitality operator Marriott has designed temporary pop-up domes in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to support wellbeing, rejuvenation and positive energy.
The US chain's Westin Hotels & Resorts brand has set up five pop-up domes in the UAE’s two major cities to tap into the growing wellness economy, said to be worth trillions of dollars.
These wellbeing domes provide people with massages, juicing mixology, golf lessons or classes to learn how to make a terrarium.
They have been designed to help people feel the “joy of missing out” by encourages guests to switch off their phones, disconnect and recharge, Marriott International’s Sandra Schulze-Potgieter said.
“The pop-up wellness dome is a haven of wellbeing and houses our principles of how to eat, sleep, move, play and work well,” she added.
The domes have appeared in La Mer, City Walk, Dubai Media City and three Westin-branded resorts.
