UAE-China relations have never been higher with both countries increasing two-way trade and enjoying growing economic, political and cultural cooperation.

With these strong links in mind, it is no surprise that China is going in heavy with its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The building will combine traditional Chinese elements with modern architectural concepts – a reflection of its deep traditions and game-changing technological achievements.

Covering a total area of more than 4,500m² the China Pavilion will be among the largest on a site that is twice the size of Monaco.

Located in the Opportunity District, China hopes the building will symbolise hope and prosperity by showcasing the combination of Chinese and Western influences.

It will also vividly showcase China’s longstanding history by artistically integrating Chinese elements with modern technologies.

The architect is Construction Engineering Design Group Corporation Limited.

These summary articles are part of a Commercial Interior Design series reviewing every single country pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, with less than 12 months to go until the celebration of human brilliance begins.
