A 26m-wide cinema screen will become the largest in Abu Dhabi when Cinemacity Al Qana opens in 2020 along a waterfront destination in the capital.
Al Barakah International Investment is developing the new waterfront location that will house the 15-screen Cinemacity Al Qana.
The company said the movie theater will have “world-class” design.
The cinema will have the emirate’s biggest premium large-format screen, although Dubai boasts the biggest with the Vox at City Centre Deira measuring 31m wide.
Cinemacity Al Qana‘s largest screen will be able to accommodate 386 people, while the entire entertainment hub will be able to seat more than 2,000 moviegoers, according to Commercial Interior Design’s sister title, Construction Week.
Commenting on the digital features at the cinema, Fouad Mashal, chief executive officer of Al Barakah International Investment, said: “We will also have a high-end VIP Cinema level, exclusive in its offerings to elite cinemagoers of the emirate, with a presidential cinema that provides world-class sophistication, design, and audio-visual offering. Once you watch a movie here, you won’t want to do it anywhere else. Cinemacity Al Qana will become the favourite place for the emirate’s cinemagoers.”
